Can't believe he has been gone this long. I still remember his kindness from my childhood with Sandie in Alameda. Sending my best wishes to the family.

I have very fond memories of spending time with the Hum family in Alameda as a child. It is with great sympathy that I send this message to the family. May Mr. Hum rest in peace and God Bless!

I can't say enough about how wonderfully helpful Dick was to help set up the Northern California Honor Flight hub. His contacts and many friends at the Veterans Home rallied quickly to make it happen. He believed in what many thought was impossible and shared the honor of seeing his WWII Memorial with so many he helped get there. My mother, Betty Mark, and I were so saddened by the news of Uncle Dick passing. My parents and Dick and Jane were stationed together in Anchorage, Alaska. They tell me that Rickie and I played together in our playpens and that I once told Uncle Dick at Halloween to "Take off your mask!"
