Not sure what to say?

hi grandpa

Marianne,

I just learned today of Bishop Johns death. I remember him fondly as a wonderful next door neighbor and Bishop. He holds a special place in Marilyn and my hearts as the Bishop who sent me on a mission and also counseled with us as we prepared to be married. I saw the two of you from a distance at the Conference Center Christmas concert in December and wish now I had made an effort to get through the crowd and say hello. God Bless you and your family.

Marianne & Family:
We extend our condolenses at this time for the loss of Richard. Richard's father was a very good friend of my mother's, Norma Humphries, and they worked together at the LDS hospital.
My brother, Steve Humphries, was Richard's age and he sends his condolenses as well.

What a powerful talk given by President Eyring at Priesthood session of conference, on him being in your home a couple weeks before conference to give Richard a blessing of comfort.

A remarkable professional and good friend. Always willing to stop what he was doing to visit about life and family. You are blessed to call him husband and father and I'm blessed to have known him.

Farewell my friend, till we meet again.
Lord's Blessings to your sweet wife and your children.

Dick we enjoyed you immensely at the museum. Your wit, intelligence, creativity, patience, hard work and love of God uplifted us all. Thank you for being a role model. We bless your family with comfort and strength in the coming years.

Dear John's family-
Wishing I could be there at the funeral! You are loved and I sure miss sweet Emily as my neighbor. She talked often of her dad and I know how much they enjoyed skiing together during the winter! What a wonderful father and grandfather he was!
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dick was a wonderful cousin. I'll never forget running into your family in Nauvoo - we went so far away to connect when we live so close! Quite a reunion has taken place on the other side. May the Lord bless and comfort your family. Love Paul Anderson & Family

I taught Dick as a student many years ago, and then worked with him as a faculty member and friend. He was a wonderful person, always cheerful,a good friend and colleague. I will miss him.
