Not sure what to say?

A late entry in this remembrance book for Dick. We did not write last year because thankfully, we were able to be all together. We have many memories of Dick sailing in Bermuda, feasting on lobsters in Shediac and happy Chistmases at Lac Marois. He was such a presence on such occasions and is so sadly missed - most especially, of course, by Neil and his beloved family. Sadly, we cannot have him back but he will live forever in our hearts.
Love always, Roger and Val

I think about Uncle Dick often when I think of my Dad. Both were larger than life to me - big teddy bears with a taste for adventure and fine cigars. I hope they are enjoying both together as they keep a close eye on all of us. Big hugs, Connie

Dear Neil,
A whole year and a bit later I am adding my words of sympathy. Dick is still and will always be missed by the entire Ackman family. I think of him so often and treasure the drawing you gave me when I was with you for the funeral. He sits along side Doug...hopefully they continue to be soul mates in a better place. Love Pat

Skipper and First Mate sailing near Bermuda on a perfect day while entertaining four friends from the Maritimes.

We realized from the first time they met that Neil and Dick had the foundation for a loving and caring relationship. During our trips to Bermuda and their trips to Brule we have been privileged to witness their life together blossom. Through attending their wedding, growing to know and love their three children and families, and experiencing their hospitality in both Bermuda and at Brule, we witnessed a wonderful union.
Our deepest sympathy to Neil and all Dick's family. His...

Dear Neil and family,
Dick was an inspiration to many people from all walks of life and he will not only be missed by his family but also by the many friends that he and you, Neil, made during his lifetime. The words "kind" "warmhearted" "jolly"
"thoughtful of others"and "always willing to help" describe Dick.
You two became known to us through our children and initially their schooling; the friendship continued to grow and you both will always have a special place in our...

Neil, Dawn, Rick and Doug:

There are so many things to say about Dick. So many things that made lasting impressions on his family and everyone around him. We struggle at times like these to find words to describe everything he was and will be remembered for. Dick taught me a valuable lesson that I hope one day I can pass on to my kids.

Rick and I were 16 years old and Dick finally let Rick take out his beloved Katimavik all by himself. Rick was so excited and proud...

My sympathy is sent from Florida to Neil, the family and friends of Dick's. A great man will be sorely missed. May memories bring you comfort and time bring you peace.

Neil, Dawn. Rick, Doug and Families:

We were privileged to be close friends and intertwined families for over 40years and many were the adventures and happy times we shared, usually with Dick leading the way. We hope the outpouring of love and tributes to him will be of some support to you, There was never a better friend nor team ( with you).We are grateful to have a huge treasure chest of happy memories to dip...
