I had the pleasure of working with Dick in State Farm's Woodlawn office. Dick led a great crew. He took an active interest in his employees and fostering their careers. I can remember visiting hospitalized employess with him. Not because it was good managment theory, but it was because that is who Dick was.
I also remember his boyish delight attending hockey games with his family at the CAPs center, spending time with his grandchildren at Disney, and during our office holdiay...
