Not sure what to say?

I was a patient of Dr. Levine´s in the mid 90´s. He was the most compassionate and charming doctor I had ever encountered. He loved talking about my career on Broadway with me and he did everything he could to guide me as I began my very unsettling path of infertility treatment. My heartfelt and deep condolences to his family and colleagues at the tragic loss of such a wonderful man. He was a very special indeed, and I am sure he is greatly missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.

Dr, Levine delivered my daughter in 1984. My pregnancy was a troubled one, yet he persevered, and I delivered my daughter 2 months early weighing slightly less than 4 1/2lbs. She is now 38 and 5'8" - how's that for a preemie? Thank you, Dr, Levine and may you forever be remembered as the wonderful and dedicated doctor and humanitarian that you were.

I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Levine. He was truly an amazing doctor, and extremely kind and compassionate. After not seeing him for some time because of my residence on Long Island, he helped me last year address a health concern at a time when I didn't know who to turn to. I've always felt secure knowing he was just a phone call or a train ride away. I will always be grateful for his guidance and support as my physician. My deepest condolences to his family.

Dr. Levine was my doctor for 34 years. I feel so privileged to have had such a knowledgeable, and kind doctor in my life. I always felt that I was given the best of care, whether it was at a routine visit or when he brought my daughter into the world, 33 years ago. She went on to become a patient of his, as well. Dr Levine made us feel like our lives mattered to him, and for that I will be forever grateful. He was so proud of his lovely family. Please know that my heart goes out to you,...

I opened my mail late last night and read the awful news about Dr. Levine. I knew he was retiring and assumed the envelope from his office had something to do with that. Even in a time of seeming apocalypse his death has shaken me to my corein part because he has been part of my life since the mid-70s, saved my life I should say, and in part because over that period of time we became something more than doctor/patient.

After I moved to DC in 1979 I commuted to New York to see him...

I had the privilege of working with Dr Levine in his offices in Tenafly and New York. He was such a kind and caring person. Always positive and understanding of his patients. Ellen, you were the light of his life. Bless you all.

I was so sadden to hear about the passing of Dr. Levine. He was my doctor when I lived in the city and continued as my doctor, even though I now live upstate. He was an outstanding physician as well as a caring, compassionate human being. He truly cared about the well being of his patients. My heartfelt condolence to his family and friends. You now have an amazing guardian angel watching over you. Rest in peace Dr. Levine. You will be missed. God Bless!

Dick Levine's death was a terrible shock to me and my family. He was one of the most vital, optimistic, and energetic people I have ever known; constantly engaged, whether in his practice or on the farm. A lover of Nature, pick-up trucks, and with Ellen, a collector of art, he was one of the most generous friends I have ever had. I remain grateful for his company and his friendship. The organization I started 25years ago, NYRP, would not have been the same without the loving attention Dick...
