Not sure what to say?

Just now hearing of Rich's passing. I am so saddened to hear. I have fond and fun memories from our college days at West Chester Univ. and a friend to my brother. I send my sincere condolences to all of his family and to Angie. RIP Richard

I just heard the sad news and can’t even find the words....

I will always have fond memories of us snowboarding, hanging out in DC and also running the Atlanta Peachtree road race.

I know how much he loved his family and I wish all his loved ones peace and comfort.

I am at a loss for words over Richard's passing. We spent a short time as roommates at West Chester State University. We also shared a bond as members of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

I recall during a spring break while at WCU, myself, Bro. Tyrone LeCato and Richard drove to Chicago and stayed with his grandparents while Richard took time to show us around the Windy City.

I also have fond memories visiting his family in Lancaster, PA.

Richard and I also spent a...

I was sadden when I learned of the passing of Richard. He & I pledge on the same line of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Zeta Psi Chapter at West Chester University, spring 1980.

I am still in shock about the news regarding Richard. We met in 1990 working at Quaker Oats and immediately became close friends. This began a friendship that lasted almost 30 years. We connected in many ways and were frat brothers. Richard was the kind of friend you could call at any hour and he answered the phone. He touched so many people and will truly be missed. My prayer goes to Angie and his family. RIP in peace my friend.

So shocked by this news. Just the day before we had talked about the next steps in our work with Jerome Paige and Moses. So hard to believe.

Richard was friendly, diligent and accomplished. Ii was a pleasure to work with him. He always took on his share of the work, and delivered the right thing at the right time. A true team player, and fun to work with.

We will miss him.

Richard and I met in Tampa, Florida in 1987 and were immediately close friends as well as fraternity brothers. He was a delight to be around, always upbeat and full of laughs. There was never a dull moment with Richard, he made sure of that.

We bumped into each other again in Washington DC in 2009, fittingly after he had just completed a 10K race. That was Richard - always on the go. It was the last I saw him. He will surely be missed.

To Richard's family, I pray that the...

So greatful to have met and spent time with Richard. He was a wonderful man.

Angie,

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you.

With Sympathy,

Dean and Katherine

Richard and I met in 1978, our freshman year at West Chester University. At college, in Chicago, NYC, DC and in between we had great times. At school he had a red Vega, we put so many miles on it he had to pay someone to take it away and that included the 8 track! It was cool to see him finish his first marathon in NYC. Richard and his folks took me to my first Earth, Wind & Fire concert in Philadelphia. At the Spectrum! In fact, a year ago I was sitting in a taxi leaving the Detroit...
