Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear about Rick's sudden passing. Rick and I were just expressing to each other a few days before he passed our optomistic outlook for our beloved 49ers come this football season. We spent many a Sunday watching the game and drinking beer at Eel River Brewery. Rick knew all the stats and all the records of all the players it seemed the 49ers ever had. I will keep a positive attitude Rick and cheer our 49ers on loud enough for both of us come this season! Cheers buddy!

Rick was like a father to me, he was in our wedding and had a huge impact on my life as a young adult. I am so grateful for the time I had with him and he became one of my husband's best friends. We will miss him everyday especially when some thing fun is going on and he's not there to give his two cents.

Rick, You were and always will be
the "Love of My Life".We never had
a dull moment!!!We lived and loved passionatly,as You did everything in life.Thank-you for the Children and Grandchildren.Thank-you for the years of love we had.
Aufweidersehen [until we meet again]!
Love always,Cindy

Sorry, I can't be there with you.
My love,
Pat Jones Varnado

My thoughts & prayers are with all of you. Rick was a fun & funny guy with a real zest for life. He will be greatly missed by all but in our hearts forever. God Bless You.

Would just be terribly remiss to not say how eternally grateful Chet and I are to Rick (and Cindy)for it was through them that the LORD arranged for our adoption of our son, Chet O'Brian, when he was 41/2 months old. And what a blessing he has been to our lives!

I smile to think of the times he told me when we were in the process of making our little house on the river a home, "Sue, you would get a lot more done if you wouldn't stop and step back to admire your work so much. ...

When I think of Rick, I think of ALL FIVE OF US KIDS growing up together, in a Leave it to Beaver neighborhood & Trigger the horse, good child hood memorys!
