Not sure what to say?

Mr. MacInnis was the kind of teacher who changes students forever. What a great man. My husband and I still think of him fondly.

I have many fond memories of Dick, from visiting with him in the hall way outside our classrooms, to The Flying Linguinis at the Teacher's Night of Talent. He was such an inspiration to his fellow teachers and most of all, to his students. He will be missed on this earth.

Mr Macinnis was my inspiration to become a history teacher. He instilled my love of it through his teaching style. He made the stories real to me and I could see what he was explaining in my mind. To him I give all the credit to my success in college and in my teaching career. I affectionately referred to him as the "Godfather" because of his voice. That thought brings a smile to face as I write this. I had to honor of spending a few months in Scotland with him and his wonderful wife Pat....

So sorry for your loss. He was truly one of the great teachers with whom I had the privilege of knowing.

I was so saddened to hear of Mr. MacInnis' passing. What an amazing man. So many stories come to mind. His lemon drop stash in Western Civ, mock trials, and more. But getting to spend a month abroad with Big Mac at the helm...what a privilege! Thanks for teaching me so much about history, but also about life. Prayers for you and your family, Mrs MacInnis. Much love.

So very sorry for your family's loss. I know he will be greatly missed. I can still hear him saying, the first day of class, "everything you will need to know to pass this class will be written on the blackboard. I suggest you write it down" I did. I passed. Thank you, Mr. Mac, for instilling in me the love of history. You made a difference in so many...

Please accept my sincere condolences at the death of this fine, good man. I am appreciative of the contributions he made to the Richmond community and to the RXVI School District - but most importantly to the lives of my children.

MR McInnis was one of my favorite teachers at Richmond High School. Will miss him and prayers and condolences to his family. Betty Brune Grigsby. Class of 1984
