Rick and I worked together for many years at FMC. He was a terrific colleague and mentor for me. More importantly, he was always a good friend. He really cared for his teammates, was an outstanding leader of people, and was a very "happy warrior" in the battle of business. We achieved much, and laughed even more. You will be missed Rick. Hope to see you on the other side.

Sandra and I are so sad for your loss. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Rick was a very special friend. We had so many great times together. When he came to our place and watched the Penn State game, probably five or six years ago it’s like we had never not seen each other for years. He will always be remembered as just a genuine, great guy and I will miss him. We will both miss him.

Rick was a great leader and mentor to everyone in the aluminum extrusion industry. Ricks passion for life was evident in everything he did. I always looked forward to talking with him at the aluminum meetings. He will be deeply missed. My condolences to Kathryn and the boys.

I had the pleasure of being one of Mr. Merluzzi’s scholars while pursuing higher education at Penn State after graduating from Lehighton High School. Throughout my four years at university, meetings with Mr. Merluzzi helped me realize that someone from a small town could achieve their biggest dreams simply by having one thing: perseverance. His advice and generosity left me with memories I will never forget. My deepest condolences go out to his family.

Rick was a great teammate and classmate. He was always 100 percent class in everything he did. I have so many fond memories of Rick from high school and beyond. He will be missed, but his legacy will live on.

Rick was a great valued colleague and a valued friend. At FMC we shared much success, great adventures and had mutual respect for each other. Our friendship continued for 25 years after our professional relationship ended. We wish we could be with you to remember and celebrate his wonderful life and smile through the tears as we recall the good times. Farewell our friend.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Rick’s passing. My sincere condolences go out to his wife, children, and family. I had the pleasure of working with Rick at FMC and was fortunate to reconnect recently to hear about the wonderful work he was doing with Friends and Family Against Prostate Cancer. Rick was an exceptional person, and I feel lucky to have known him.
