Kilo Company Knobs circa 1982

Karl was a fantastic classmate, fellow Kilo Company cadet, and true Citadel Man. All his classmates and his company mates are in shock at his passing. We (I) miss him so very much already. My deepest sympathy to the entire Mitchell family and to the Shreveport community at this tragic and far too early loss. Rest In Peace Karl...Rest In Peace.

I am so sorry to hear about Karl, when I worked with him he was always there to help. He will be greatly missed.

I'm still saddened by the loss of my friend Karl. I will miss him and his gregarious spirit. Please pray for Nia and the family that God will ease their pain and suffering.

I only knew Coach on-line. His strength, honor, courage and integrity were always evident. I wish I could have met him in person and told him how much he had helped me and shook his hand. I can't imagine the loss those of you who were lucky enough to know him and to call him your friend must feel. I feel as if I have lost a friend. Nia, you and your family are, and will remain in my prayers. I consider it an honor to have crossed paths with both of you. Cheers, Coach.

I am so sorry for your loss. Karl was an amazing friend and I will miss him.

We are praying that in this time of sorrow that God's presence is felt for the Mitchell family and friends of Karl. The St. Joseph's community is also mourning your loss with you. May Karl rest in Peace and the Mitchell family find comfort in their memories. God bless you all.
