Richard "Rick" Nelson

Dear Judi I am so sad to hear of Rick's passing. I had the pleasure of working for Rick at the JCC in Toronto. He was always so friendly and passionate about building Jewish Community. I remember doing a solidarity spin ride with him for the JCC in Krakow that he whole heartedly supported. My sincere condolences to your and Rick's children and grandchildren. May his memory be for a blessing.

Rick was a mensch and a tremendous professional. I loved working with him. He was an incredible colleague, and I learned so much from him during his years in Toronto. Rick enhanced our Toronto Jewish community in many ways, and his contribution continues to this day with three strong JCCs that all gained from his leadership. I rreember when Rick Nelson became the CEO of our JCC in Richmond. We met in the men's locker room after our exercise sessions. "He was one of us " I thought and admired that so much. We chatted on subjects of art and football, film, loosing weight and how much we loved the JCC. I was sorry to see him leave and he left his mark. drw
