Prayers for my friend from long ago

Joan, Edie and I are presently in South Carolina and cannot offer our Condolences personally. He was quite the man and had a tough fight. How well I remember his days back on March Street in Worcester with his folks along with Ray and Lorraine. His teen years were partially absorbed, along with Ray, in Boy Scout Troop 16. He was always on top of his game. He left great memories for Family and friends.

As a best friend of his son, Chris, Mr. Noel (Dickie as I called him) was my second father growing up. He was the best. He was at every game, every function, always supporting Chris and the rest of the team/crew. After I moved away, got married and visited his family with my new bride, he welcomed her into the family with open arms, as if he knew her for years. He was so darn generous, and every time I saw him after our high school years, he insisted on giving me a $20 bill - every single...

So sad to hear of Uncle Richard's passing. He was a great man. One that I looked up to. He will be missed! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!

One fond memory: Mr. Noel took me and Dicky Deux fishing out of Rye on the Isle of Shoals. Soon after arriving, the boat motor died and we drifting in the hot sun for hours while Mr. Noel frantically tried to make a repair. When he had the motor half disassembled, I started praying and looking for the coast guard! Somehow, he had all the tools (and parts) on board to essentially rebuild the motor. As we chugged our way back into Rye harbor I was thankful we had such a resourceful captain with...
