Richard A. Oswald, 75, of Forty Fort, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, at Highland Manor, Exeter, with his cousin, Janet, by his side.
Born May 23, 1947, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Christine Richards Oswald.
He is survived by cousins, Janet (Michael) Venetz; David Roberts and companion, Carol Zurawski; and Marilyn (Peter) Scharfenberg.
Richard was a Forty Fort High School graduate and earned an associate's degree in electronics and electronic technology from the Pennsylvania State University. He was formerly employed by the Bendix Corporation and Kay Wholesale Drug.
Richard met his recent illness with courage and faith.
He loved music, talk radio and a good conversation. He worshipped at Wyoming Avenue Christian Church, where he enjoyed setting up the Christmas candles for many years.
Richard's family would like to thank the staff of Complete Care at Riverview Ridge, Highland Manor and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their care and compassion.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Cremation and Burial Society of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg.
A memorial service, led by the Rev. Dennis Gray will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Wyoming Avenue Christian Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wyoming Avenue Christian Church, 881 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, PA 18704.
