Not sure what to say?

Dick was a really great guy, one of the more interesting people I've ever known. He was instrumental in the formation of the Little River Wetlands Project and the acquisition of Eagle Marsh. He was passionate about the history of the area and worked to preserve and interpret it. He will be missed, but his legacy will remain.

My condolences go out to the Poor family. I was a student of his at Elmhurst. Very pleasant man. Rest peacefully Mr. Poor!

Our thoughts are with you all.

I had Mr. Poor as a teacher. He was a good and thoughtful man who blessed many lives; may those blessings flow back to his family and comfort them in this time of transition. EHS Class of '79

Great man! I walked a few miles with him around Eagle Marsh...very informative. Sorry for your loss.
