Dick was a really great guy, one of the more interesting people I've ever known. He was instrumental in the formation of the Little River Wetlands Project and the acquisition of Eagle Marsh. He was passionate about the history of the area and worked to preserve and interpret it. He will be missed, but his legacy will remain.

So sorry for your loss. Mr. Poor was my teacher at Elmhurst High School. We also served on the "SAVE ELMHURST" group together. What a blessing for your entire family to have had him in your lives. I can tell by posts and pictures how close your family is. You have so many beautiful memories to treasure.
