I send my sincere sympathy. I will always think of Dick as a brother in the Union Movement. His dedication to his members of Local 374 will always be remembered. It was a privledge to know and work with Dick Powers.

To the Powers family, please accept my sympathy for your great loss. I have many memories of growing up with Dick, my brother Toad and I played baseball with Dick in high school as well as summer leagues. We had many great times riding in the "cream beauty", a 1941 chevy that Dick owned during our high school days. Also the Powers family made Friday night at their home a special time, we all gathered there for the Friday night fights on TV. Mr. & Mrs. Powers always had a cold RC Cola for each...

Dick was always respected and know for his contractual knowledge. His efforts in helping retirees with their benefits and medical needs demonstrates the goodness of his soul. My prayers are with you and your family.

I will always remember Dick as a person who had time to listen to everyone. He was and excellent union president and I am glad to have had the prevaledge to have work on the board as trustee. Renee and the entire Power Family you have my prayers . My GOD BLESS YOU.

Dick will always be remembered by me as an excellent teacher in union leadership. He faithfully represented and served all of constituents. He often displayed kindness especially in his giving to foster children and others who suffered misfortune. He treated me well and I, in turn, returned the same respect. I am truly sorry to read of Dick's passing. May he rest in peace.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I had the honor of knowing Richard as member of the Calhoun County Board of Commissioners. He was an honest, hard working volunteer for myself and other Democrats. I am proud to have counted Richard as a supporter and friend.
