Not sure what to say?

Just a note of gratitude for having had the distinct honor and benefit of having Dr. Richard Ripple as the Chair of my graduate program. Professor Ripple stood among a few faculty and administrators whom I understood clearly advocated for tautological epistemology. As a professor he provoked debate, discourse and decision, grounded in empirical truth. As a friend he imparted faith in that truth. Professor Ripple once advised me: "......politics used to get in the way of education, now...

Dr. Ripple was likely the most honorable man I was blessed with studying under. He made a tremendous impact with his life. "Those who have lived well for their time have lived well for all time."

A good man, great academic and friend.

Invictus

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.

There is an old adage which I believe applies to Dr. Ripple:

Cornell's Department of Education was blessed to have enjoyed true tautological excellence under his chairmanship. His students will...

While, I only met him a few times as an elementary student at Cayuga Heights Elementary School, as student of Mrs. Ripple, but I remember a nice man that loved teaching. Mrs. Ripple I often think of you, particularly as I tutor my children in math. You've had such a profound effect on me as a teacher, you always showed great patience and support when you taught us. God has truly blessed...
