Not sure what to say?

Robbie was family. He lived in the house my father built. His property was part of our original family homestead. He knew all the stories of the Showalter generations who'd lived on that land. He was a close connection for me to my father. I could ask him things that I knew my father would have known and Robbie could often answer. It was a comfort to know that Robbie was next door to Mom when Dad died. He and that special dog brought mom's mail faithfully everyday for nearly 13 years....

It is with great sorrow that we have lost a fellow member at the VFW Men's Auxiliary, Post 1264.
Robbie will live on forever because he has left all with memories that will never be forgotten.
We at the VFW will honor Richard "Robbie" Robison as a good man and patriot who loved country and God. He will be missed by all.

I am so saddened by Mr. Robison's passing. I will always remember his kindness and laughter when I was a teen visiting with Sandy. Sandy, Rick and Kirk, my prayers are with you. I am so sorry I will be out of town during your dad's viewing and funeral. I love you all.
