When Dick first came back from the War he was the most dashing, handsome and thrilling person I had ever seen. We cousins held him in awe. We knew that he had jumped out of airplanes and fought the enemy and that he was very brave. His Grandparents were so, so proud of him, as was the whole family. I'll never forget seeing you in your uniform & boots, kinda kneeling in front of June, on the lawn at Grandma & Grandpa's house in Mesa. 1947 ???

You two were so much in love.

Such an inspiration for a young girl.
