When Dick first came back from the War he was the most dashing, handsome and thrilling person I had ever seen. We cousins held him in awe. We knew that he had jumped out of airplanes and fought the enemy and that he was very brave. His Grandparents were so, so proud of him, as was the whole family. His Uncle Jack bragged about him a lot. When Dick brought June to Grandma and Grandpa Stewart's house to introduce her to the family we were equally in awe of the beautiful young woman he had chosen and somewhat shocked because we thought June couldn't possibly be old enough to marry! Dick lived his life with courage, passion, kindness, wisdom and humor. What a wonderful man he was. He has left an unforgettable legacy behind.

Oh my dear cousin!!!

I'll never forget seeing you in your uniform & boots, kinda kneeling in front of June, on the lawn at Grandma & Grandpa's house in Mesa. 1947 ???

You two were so much in love.

Such an inspiration for a young girl.

Love,
Sue

Uncle Dick, I will never forget the time when you told me "Get in that truck and move it!" I was 9 years old. From then on I never had a fear of anything bigger than me. Thanks for always believing in me, your great nephew Samuel Warren Albert Gallatin Smith

As cousin, boss, mentor, confidante, friend, hero and roll model, who I loved, Dick was fair, loving, courageous and wise, and will be missed.

Dear June, Donna, Daphne, Stacy, Richard and grand kids,
My prayer is for peace and grace to you all.
ricky

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. (Psalms 91:11)
As we abide in the light of our Father, we are given protection beyond all comprehension. These heavenly angels are encamped all about us as they guard our every path throughout this life. Indeed, absolutely nothing shall ever prevail against us as we walk in the light! For He is our rock! He is our mighty fortress!

A more perfect place is now served by my much loved Uncle Dick, He raised us all to be more caring and thoughtful, a guide-on in life and pillar of moral strength. I cannot tell you how many of our friends from HS and before speak of him as their uncle as well. Aunt June and you kids share his legacy of 'others before self'. Good on each of you. God bless you all. Rest now RLS, your peace is earned.

My love, thoughts and prayers are with the entire Seeber family in this time of loss. I pray that the memories that bring tears of sorrow now will soon be replaced with memories that bring tears filled with loving, joyful memories. So many of my young years are filled with time spent at the Seeber house drinking sweet tea, playing in the pool room and elephants!! He was a very special part of my family.
