Not sure what to say?

Nick you may be gone but you are never forgotten! Those we love stay imprinted in ours hearts forever as their memories last till eternity. This picture was taken when I had just landed in London you and your amazing wife Des invited me over for lunch. After a lovely meal we took a nice long walk along St John´s Park. You both made my transition to the UK so seamless. Thanks for the love, care and support. Malebogo Mpugwa

It was wonderful to see how happy Nick and Des were together - a great match of intellect and adventure. Thank you for sharing your lessons in leadership via Des - they had a wider ripple effect than you might have realized! You will be missed!

I was so blessed to have Nick as my friend for over twenty years. For those of us who were fortunate to have known Nick, I am sure we would all agree that he was such a great man. I will miss him. Rest In Peace Colonel Shuck!!

Nick and I crossed paths many times. He had a perpetual smile on his face each time I saw him. I count him as a good friend and I will miss him. So sorry for your loss Desray.

I met Nick nearly 40 years ago in Buffalo NY. I was the Marine Liaison at the company he worked at. He was one of the key people in my career that made my life better, pointing me in the right direction, professionally. I was then and am now grateful for his influence. Paul McGraw

My wife, Candy, and I met Nick and Desray in London only late in the trajectory of Nick´s life and wish the overlap of our lives could have been greater. A remarkable combination of humor and insightfulness - a twinkle and a wry smile usually followed by pearl of observation or wit. Thanks for your friendship, Marine. Jim and Candy Beery

Brother Shuck, God Bless you my friend. Lots of great times and memories from AWS forward. Rest in peace. Semper Fidelis, Spider

Colonel Nick Shuck, USMC ... Worked for nearly three years HQMC. Few of his cognitive prowess. A thoughtful, common sense, considerate, and damn effective teacher and leader. When selected, he gifted me a pair of his eagles; treasure. But friendship is what will endure. Semper Fi, Marine. Respectfully, Andy Weddington

Nick was a terrific neighbor. We had all recently moved into our new neighborhood and almost immediately upon meeting Nick he felt like a long time friend. To see Nick in the neighborhood was to engage in an interesting and usually laugh filled conversation. Nick clearly understood that life is about the people you touch during your life and I believe that all who knew him are better for that time we were lucky enough to know him. Nick will certainly be missed!
