To the family and friends of Brother Richard (Buzzy) Singleton.

As we share your personal loss, what a joy we can share as we acknowledge the Word of the Lord.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and...

My condolences to Buzzy's family. May God give you strength to endure the pain of greiving. The only thing we can be sure of is God is in control of our destiny and Loves us dearly. Buzzy was a friend in deed and Loved being a "Q". I can remember great times at CMSU with Buzzy and the gang. Even though we were apart in distance we still were together as brothers in spirit.
Friendship is Essential to the Soul. As a "Q" Buzzy lived the 4 principals of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance...

Buzzy was an outstanding black man, friend, fraternity brother, and father.
To this day I frequently listen to Isaac Hayes's "JOY", for it was in Buzzy's basement in Kansas City that I first heard it. Buzzy loved his music and always had a bomb system to share the music with his friends.
Through the years I was always confident that when I was conducting business with Buzzy, I knew I was in good hands.
I will miss him dearly and fraternally.

Our legacy is not what we have done, but what those we leave behind remember that we have done. You left wonderful children who will continue to be your gift to the world. Rest in the glory of God.

I have be blessed to know Buzzy and to call him my friend. I will alway have fond memories of his life as he has made an indelible impression on me and many others in our community. I pray the Lord will bring healing to his family and friends during this very difficult time. It is written: " To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."

Buzzy,

My sincerest thoughts of strength and well wishes is extended to your family and love ones.

Please know that you will always be remembered as a true and valued friend who made a positive and lasting impact on the lives you touched.

Siempre,

Micheal "El Paso" Butts

Ronald (Moe) and Verleana Moore

God's Grace, Blessings and Strength to the Singleton family at this difficult time.

I was a friend of from Buzzy's from Central Missouri State who was a guest in the Singleton home on two weekends during the summer and fall of 1968.

Your kindness and hospitality will never be forgotten.

For Buzzy

When our lives became entwined,
I was just learning my name.
We grew up next to each other
Playing silly, childish games.
Behaving just like siblings
(Though born of different folks)
You teased me like a sister,
I laughed at your bad jokes.
Then life sped up around us,
So many things to learn !
To chase the dreams we cherish
To leave no stone unturned.

Those years of drive-in...
