Not sure what to say?

I was thinking of Richard three days ago, so he is definitively part of my history and fond memories of him. He and Jan 's birthdays were on October 14 and 16 sandwiching my wife Eve's on October 15 with mine being on the October 3rd. Meeting while attending Boston for graduate school together we celebrated all of our birthdays on the 15th and became good friends spending time together at meetings throughout the years. Rest well my friend

I only learned of the passing of this rare individual today. My sincere condolences in the loss of this very bright, cheerful, fun-loving and yet extreme professional, Dr. Richard Sugarman. My husband was his patient from early 80's and I since late 80's. I am shocked and broken hearted in the lost of such a special practitioner and friend. He and his fun demeanor will be sorely missed.

I am so saddened to learn of Dr. Sugarman's passing. I always felt at ease and comfortable with him. I trusted his judgement as a patient and raved about him to family and friends, many of whom became patients. May his soul Rest In Peace.

I knew Richard in high school, and though I left Atlanta many years ago and only saw Richard a handful of times over the years, I'll remember always his wonderful wry sense of humor and one unforgettable moment when I was living in Boston: I was driving up to a toll booth outside of Logan Airport when I threw my quarter and missed the toll basket. I opened my car door, climbed out, and retrieved the quarter. Suddenly, a voice yelled out: "Michael Shoob, get back in your damned car!" It...

Although I left Atlanta several years ago I was a patient of Dr. Richard's for 20 years. We used to joke that we had grown up together. He had a great sense of humor and I always looked forward to seeing him. My condolences to his family who he obviously loved very much.

I am stunned and deeply saddened regarding the death of Dr. Richard. My thoughts and prayers go to his family. He will be greatly missed!

I was so shocked to hear of Dr. Richard's passing. He was such a wonderfully warm and funny man. He was my dentist for over 20 years and I always looked forward to our visits. It just won't be the same without him. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I was shocked to hear of my friend Richard's sudden death. As a classmate of Richard's in Boston from 1978 my wife Eve and I shared many joint birthdays together as ours were all in early to mid October. Although we lived miles apart we would see each other at annual meetings and developed a very strong friendship. Time would stand still on the occasions we met and now has been sadly marked by the loss of our dear friend Richard.
