My condolences go out to the entire Sykes family & the Sykes' Pharmacy employees in the loss of Mr Sykes.
Remembering as a young person how this wonderful friend gave so much to many families in the E. St. Louis community in the way of employement, good customer service & encouragement in furthering our education. I no longer live in E.St.Louis but I remember how valuable this businessman was to our city. Yes, he is an icon that will be deeply missed. May God continue to bless you all.

Please know that I share in your sadness. Dr Sykes as we called him during our teen years when the drug store was on 15th Street across from the "VET'S (he held the secret to our choir robes) We will always remember him with a smile. Hopefully, you will remember and smile. Novella
