I just found out about Dick's passing. He taught me accordion many, many years ago, and although I walked away from the instrument for several decades, I came back to it and now play accordion in an Irish band. I started while he was still teaching at Art Kubera's, and left with him while he first taught me at my home, then his, then the music store. Sorry I did not keep in touch, especially once I started playing again in earnest. He will be missed.

I learned so much from him musically and personally. Great memories. Especially the Coke machine in the store and treating each other weekly. I will miss you very much my friend. May...

..My teacher, mentor and friend. We stayed in contact throughout the years and he still called me Butch. I’ll play my accordion today with gratitude. Thanks for everything. Your memory will live forever!
