Our fathers passing is approaching a year and still feel his presence and cannot believe he has left us. For family and friends who wish to pay your respects in USA please note My father is located in Bellevue Gardens Cemetery in the church sanctuary located at 740 N Mason Rd. St. Louis MO. Per my fathers wishes he is also buried in Kaohsiung Taiwan and in future I will take him also back to his birthplace in Shanxxi Xiping.

I was a friend of Dr. Yang when I was a student at Washington University in the early 1970s. Although we were not in touch recently, I will never forget him and I have a piece of calligraphy in my bedroom that he made and gave to me. He is very much missed.

Wei-Li and family we are so sorry for your loss. Your father was a great man, which we can tell by the children he raised to be kind, caring, intelligent, generous, compassionate. You will forever have all the wonderful memories of him....cherish those.

In the early days (1974) we be friended Professor Yang. He and his wife had given us advice to open an upscale restaurant in the United States. Later we opened Mandarin House Restaurant in St. Louis. Mandarin House, Chinese Logo was personally written by Professor Yang. Standing in the city of St. Louis, Missouri for more than 40 years, the beauty of its fonts is widely praised by many people. I first met Mr. Yang nearly forty years ago. His son and I were high school classmates and good friends. He was always kind and generous. He spoke softly but always with purpose and wisdom. Small in stature and gentle in his ways, Professor Yang was a giant of a man. He was always dignified, respected, scholarly, and direct. He included me in celebrations of Chinese culture and events such as Chinese New Year and Ten-Ten Day celebrations. It was through the Yang family that my love for...
