Many of the mothers, in the country, took turns driving us to and from VBS in the summer. We would ask them to take "the bumpy road" and "go fast". Most moms weren't too keen on that, but your mom (Rita) would get a smile on her face and do her best to make us think that we were on a roller coaster. I can picture her smile. I think that she enjoyed the bumpy road adventures, also.
