Rita J. VOISE

1933 - 2022

Rita Voise of Odessa, WA passed away on May 5, 2022. She was born July 4, 1933, in Odessa to Henry and Elsie Uhrich, joining her sister, Carol, and later joined by her sister, Shari. Rita married her high school sweetheart, Richard Voise, on April 4, 1952, and together they farmed and raised their family. After retiring from farming, Richard and Rita opened Voise Sausage in town with their children and the Uhrich family recipes. She was a faithful member and volunteer of Christ Lutheran Church in Odessa, where she also sang in the choir. She is survived by sons Alan (Diane) of Odessa, WA, Roger (Nancy) of Yorkville, IL, daughter Lori Coleman of Moses Lake, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Rita is also survived by her sister, Shari (Punch) Pfeifer of Odessa, and sister-in-law Shirley (Archie) Besancon of Hermiston, OR. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Bill and Irene Voise, sister and brother-in-law Carol and Robert "Shorty" Sewall, and sisters-in-law, Francis Speck and Virginia Haase. Rita was a kind and caring person and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.

The memorial service will be held on June 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church.
