Not sure what to say?

I never met Father but I was in contact with him many times over the years. I just learned of his death this week and was very sad to learn of it. I am an Assistant Archivist for the Diocese of Green Bay and he was extremely helpful to me both privately and with patrons. I always could always honestly say to patrons - "Contact Fr. Altmann. He is very nice and will do all he can to help you." It's been a while since I had been in contact him but I will miss him. He was a wonderful person....

Father Bob was a brilliant and dedicated priest and I feel privileged to have been his friend. From Sherry/Blenker to
La Crosse, WI we stayed in contact. Father was the priest at my wedding, he baptized my children, he played golf and bowled with me, we discussed issues together as school principals and we had a warm conversation on the day he departed this life. My family extends condolences to Frederick, Betty Ann and his nieces. He will be missed by all of us.

I had the wonderful experience of working with Father Altmann during the time that he served as Archivist in LaCrosse. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and caring. His vast memory helped me to locate the information that I was seeking, He was always going out of his way. I am thankful for having known him. My sympathy to his family. May He go with Our Lord.

My deepest condolences to the family of Father Altmann. I had the pleasure of working with Father while he was at St. Matthew Parish in Wausau. He was a man of great integrity and a very humble and sincere priest. My life was better for having known him.

To all of you, you have our sympathy in the passing of Father Robert. Our thoughts & prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. God Bless you. I, Theresa Lang, grew up in sherry and new Father Robert and Betty you played the organ for our wedding back in 1966.

Betty, Thinking of you fondly and with prayers in the loss of your brother...Sharon Zouski Kizewski(from the old 10-34 days)

MY DEEPESST SYMPATHIES ARE WITH ALL THE FAMILY OF FATHER ROBERT. I ALWAYS THOUGHT OF HIM FONDLY. HE WILL BE MISSED.
