Not sure what to say?

So sorry to get this news. But I'm glad I got to see Augie and son at the Peace Corps anniversary a couple of years ago. My favorite memory of Augie was when we were still in training in Mexico. Augie and
Tony Comunale had been the first in our group to be sent out to a small Mexican town to see if they could survive living on their own. Augie's description of a woman in the market stirring a cauldron of pig organs in a brine of who-knows-what still makes me howl with laughter. I'll...

Joanie, Peter, and Charles,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Auggie was an exceptional man - a wise, kind and gentle soul. My heart goes out to you all.

Dear Joan,
So sorry to hear of your loss, which was sent to me by my Mom.

Joan, Peter and Charles,
I am at a loss, a total loss for words to describe how I feel; there are no words that adequately embrace the enormity of your loss. I don't know how young Augie was when he first crossed my radar as Len's best friend, but I'd venture he's been a part of our family for nearly 50 years. They don't come any finer--what a treasure. Joan, it may not offer any solace now, but in time perhaps you will be comforted that you were blessed to have spent many years with as...

Auggie was one of the truly good guys, one of the best that the Dartmouth Class of '71 had to offer. I fondly remember seeing Auggie and his lovely wife several years ago at Frank Anton's annual spring party. So sad that will not happen again. My deepest condolences to all his family. The Dartmouth family has lost a friend and classmate. You have lost much more.

What a shock...Evelyn told us about Bob's illness, and the news that he had just passeed away. Our hearts go out to you, and to your sons Peter and Charles and to your mother Adele. We pray that you will gather strength and courage in the days and months ahead with the love and support of your many friends and family.

Joanie and sons...I am so saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I met Auggie in the Peace Corps in Guatemala and we carried our friendship for 35 years. He truly had a gentle wisdom about him and he helped me many times to ground myself over the years. We called him "Auggie Doggie". When his father came to Guatemala to visit they were "Auggie Doggie and Doggie Daddy". I admired Bob and His father traveling throughout Guatemala on chicken busses like the locals. I will always think of Bob...

Dear Joanie, Peter, and Charles,
I was shocked to hear about your loss. I think about his big smile when he was getting ready to enjoy being outdoors riding his bike or clipping the bushes. I am so sorry.
