Auggie was one of the truly good guys, one of the best that the Dartmouth Class of '71 had to offer. I fondly remember seeing Auggie and his lovely wife several years ago at Frank Anton's annual spring party. So sad that will not happen again. My deepest condolences to all his family. The Dartmouth family has lost a friend and classmate. You have lost much more.

Joanie and sons...I am so saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I met Auggie in the Peace Corps in Guatemala and we carried our friendship for 35 years. He truly had a gentle wisdom about him and he helped me many times to ground myself over the years. We called him "Auggie Doggie". When his father came to Guatemala to visit they were "Auggie Doggie and Doggie Daddy". I admired Bob and His father traveling throughout Guatemala on chicken busses like the locals.
