Not sure what to say?

I just read of Bob's passing in the Beloit College Magazine. Aside from being a wonderful teacher, he was a faculty member I greatly admired as a person, looked to for guidance, a smile, and positive energy.

His stories of his time in the Peace Corps (especially playing with future MLD players, and building the playground) are still with me.

For me Bob was the epitome of the liberal arts ethos, giving of his time, and knowing that developing students was not just teaching them...

So sorry to learn of his passing. I worked with him for several years at Beloit College. He was a kind and compassionate person. He touched many lives.

Bob was my Spanish professor. He took a group of us to Granada in 1984. It was a very special experience and he made it extra special because of his patience and kindness and sharing of his knowledge. So sorry to hear of his passing. My 22 year old daughter shares his birthday which I love!

My deepest sympathy. Professor Bob was an extraordinary man and mentor.

I am sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I worked with him at Carroll. He was a true gentleman and scholar. My condolences to his family.

We are saddened to learn of the death of Robert, but grateful for his service to our nation with the Peace Corps in Venezuela.
Our condolences,
The National Peace Corps Association
