I am beyond shock. Bob and I litigated some cases together and became good friends. We became good friends litigating a case in LA. We stayed friends after I left Mayer Brown in 2008. We were recently talking about getting together with our respective spouses somewhere halfway between Sarasota (where he and Nancy were) and Naples (where Geoff and I are).
