I will never forget him. Having spent 16 years with his son Mace and giving him one of his grandsons Travis Bookman, I am honored that Travis will carry on his bloodline and name and that I was the woman entrusted for this great honor. He always made me feel like I was the most beautiful woman on the planet whenever I was around him and always had concern for my well being. I met Robert in 1981 playing in a Blues Band and I sat in with the band for couple of songs and Robert wanted me to play several more tunes so I did and we became lifelong friends, as well as playing together in many more Bands over 35 years. He will always be remembered and missed ....He was one of my best friends. My heart and soul goes out to his family.

Robert was a quiet, gentle giant of a person who always thought of others first. I remember him best for his bass playing. Robert could play jazz or blues with bass lines that really made it all happen in the studio. He was a good man and he will be missed!
