I had the pleasure of knowing the General for a very short time as we were both members of the Walnut Creek Elks Lodge. He was a permanent fixture at the high top tables in our lodge lounge on Burger Night. Everyone knew him and loved him. He will be missed!

I met Bob (and Marge) in 2005 at Pangea Lounge in north bennington Vermont. From 2007 until Marge's passing were neighbors in shaftsbury Vermont. Their love of Labs was unparalleled. I miss them
