Having worked with Duke for almost 25 years I came to know his many sides. I can tell you that his caring and compassionate side came to the fore more often than not. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed. My prayers are with you all. Sending peace & acceptance for what is and joy & laughter for what was.

The Ruggles Family has so many wonderful memories of all of you. Duke was a special person to our family and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

So very sad to hear of the passing of a truly nice man. Having worked at Saratoga County Personnel, I saw Bob quite often. He was always very polite and a kind soul. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Eileen, Ryan & Erin, I want you to know how sadden we are of the passing of Duke. He was a great man and he will be sorely missed. We remember all the good old hockey days and the fun we all used to have. Every time we talk about him we always start singing the Duke of Earl song. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.

To Duke's Family:

My sincere condolences. I knew Duke back in those speed skating days, when we faced the wind, snow, and cold of old fashion Saratoga winters together. I will always remember him as a fine sportsman, fellow humanitarian, and friend. I grieve with you on the loss of a truly wonderful man.
