Dear Rose, I wish I could be there in your time of grief, but grateful I was able to see Bob in May and he called you so we were able to talk. You and the family I hope know that Corey's was my home away from home no matter where life has taken me. Just a fond memory,Vern would always let me in if knocked on the back door @ 5 or 6 am and drink coffee until Bob arrived, I could always make it that far but not home.

Even through it’s been 15 years since I left Lansing, I remember all of the wonderful times I spent at Corey’s and with Bob. Bob was the epitome of a successful saloon keeper. He always was so friendly and made you feel like you were one of the family. No matter if I had been gone from Lansing for five years at a time, whenever I walked into Corey’s, it felt like I had never left.
