Dear Rose, I wish I could be there in your time of grief, but grateful I was able to see Bob in May and he called you so we were able to talk. You and the family I hope know that Corey's was my home away from home no matter where life has taken me. Just a fond memory,Vern would always let me in if knocked on the back door @ 5 or 6 am and drink coffee until Bob arrived, I could always make it that far but not home.
God Bless you all and just know that our thoughts are with you.
Love,
Betty and Gregory Jarous, Lawrenceville, Georgia

Dear Rose,
Even through it’s been 15 years since I left Lansing, I remember all of the wonderful times I spent at Corey’s and with Bob. Bob was the epitome of a successful saloon keeper. He always was so friendly and made you feel like you were one of the family. No matter if I had been gone from Lansing for five years at a time, whenever I walked into Corey’s, it felt like I had never left. Bob always took time to ask me where I was living and how I had been. When I was a regular for everyday throughout the 1980’s, Bob would make stand at the end of the bar and make sure I kept the nail on the end of the bar pounded down. That was my job. I still think back to have kibbeh almost every Friday afternoon, at my usual table in the Elvis Room.
Bob will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Peace Be With You,
Dave Ording

"PA COREY!" That's all any of us Webers
ever knew him by. He, Rose, and all the
Coreys are always very special "Family" to each and every person that ever walked
through their doors, not only at the store or restaurant, but also at their home. MAY GOD BE WITH EACH AND EVERYONE OF THE FAMILY!!! My health won't allow me to be there, but we'll all be there in
Prayer and Spirit. God has called home his VERY BEST GREETER AND COMPANION! Never seen him, or any of you, without smiles that are a trademark of the Coreys in Lansing. Our best to One and All!!

There was no one as positive and supportive as Bob Corey. With his wife Rose, they both made such a difference in my life, and reminded me of all of the real family assets that I am fortunate to have. I am a better person for having had the opportunity to have known the Corey family.
My heart is with you all!
With Love,
