I do not recall a family memory with my mother's family without Uncle Robert. He always had a kind word, calming disposition, and caring heart. When I was in my teens, Uncle Robert, seeing that I enjoyed photography and was pretty handy with a camera, asked if I would take pictures at his men’s club meeting, but of course I jumped at the opportunity to do so, and absolutely enjoyed it, the fact that he paid me made it all the better, that was the first time anyone had paid to for my services. I had a chance to relay that story to Uncle Robert just a few months ago, he just laughed as I reminisced, “Is that so”, as he smiled....

It can be so hard to face the new year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

My prayers, thoughts and love to the Craighead/Smithson family on your loss of this great man, Mr. Craighead. I started going to Craighead's Barbershop at the age of 16 yrs old and continue to this day. I am 59 yrs. old. I always enjoyed and learned from, the great debates on politics and all the other subjects, that were talked about between Mr. Craighead, James Miles, and anyone else who had an opinion.
