Not sure what to say?

I have fond memories of Bob and Janet when I used to visit my grandfather who lived right next door to them on Seminary St. They used to invite me and my dad over for breakfast and they both were the warmest and most welcoming people you'd ever meet. I have a painting of Cayuga Lake he did and gave to my grandfather many years ago and I proudly display in my living room. It reminds me of my childhood days in upstate NY and the memories I had there.

I'm so saddened to read of the passing of both Bob and Janet. They used to stop by Treasury Drugs and Eckerds when they were visiting Myrtle Beach in the winter. They were both such very sweet and special people. We used to exchange Christmas cards for many years. I feel so lucky for having known them. Their names just popped into my head and I wondered what had happened to them. Again, I am sorry for your loss.

I interviewed Mr. Doremus fo The Citizen around 1970-71. It was my first published work. What a wonderful man, and family.

Dear Sally: Even though we talked just after your dad passed, I just want you and your family to know how saddened I was to hear the news. When I was in Union Springs in November, I made it a point to visit Bob in the nursing home. The wonderful memories I have of you and I and your father will always be with me and I will cherish the calendars with his wonderful artwork.

All my prayers to you and the family:
Ronnie

Dear Sally and all the Otis family: So sorry to hear of your loss. Very nice to learn about your multi-talented Dad - he must have been a wonderful spirit in your family's life. Best -- Scott Heinekamp

Dear Sally, I was saddened to hear of your father's death. I remember so many wonderful Memorial Day picnics at your house on Seminary Street. I loved posing for your dad and earning that 50 cent piece - big money in those days. I know that the paintings my brothers have are very special to them. Your parents' friendship with mine was so important to them. Wishing you and yours the comfort of many happy memories.

Dear Otis Family
This day will find you all together holding each other in love for your Father and Grandfather. A precious time of remembrance. A time you all will hold in your hearts for ever. Truly a blessed time.
Please know that we Ginny & Dave and our family will be with you in love, thoughts and many prayers.
I have a picture in mind of Bob out on the sparkling waters heading up the lake in full sail with a wave of his hand and his generous smile
Peace & Love

To the family of Robert Doremus,
I had the pleasure of meeting Bob at Fox Lane apartments where my mother lived untill she passed in 2008. She considered him a great friend. We both just loved to listen to the stories he would tell about his wonderful life that he lived. He was a kind, intelligent, talented man and you all must be proud to call him your father, grandfather etc. May all of your fond memories of him bring you all peace and comfort at this difficult time.

Dear Sally and Family,
We were saddened to hear of Bob's passing. We've known him for many years and usually saw him at TUCC when we were visiting Union Springs. He and my mother were both Union Springs natives and friends from childhood (she was born in 1913 also).

My sister and I are fortunate that each of us has one of his paintings hanging in our homes.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
