I was so sorry to learn of Bob´s passing. We worked together in the 1980´ and Bob served as a very effective mentor to me. I have never forgotten him nor the valuable lessons he taught me.

Dear Nancy and Family,
I can't imagine the loss you are feeling. I worked for Bob as his Plant Controller at the Tippins Pie Plant. He actually hired me. He was my boss, my friend and in many ways like a brother to me. We laughed, we fought and we had a good time. He helped me through my husbands cancer treatment with his wise words, "Choose 10 minutes out of the day to think about it, then move on with your thoughts."
I felt like he confided in me maybe more than others because I was a "Tippins outsider". I will always cherish the friendship we shared. One thing he always shared was his love of his wife and family. He would light up when he was talking or in many cases bragging about his family. Bob was a huge presence in anyone's life he touched. I will miss him dearly. Nancy, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Bob was more than a friend. He was a light in the everyday. No matter what, Bob was ready to help everyone have a great experience at STA games.
After spending 11 years next to him it will be hard to go back to the press box.
He will be missed but his presence will always be there.
Thank you for sharing him with us.

I was very surprised to learn of Bob's passing. He was much to young to go. I remember working with Bob at Tippin's; he was always willing to do whatever was required and did it with a smile and humor. Our sincere condolences to you all.

Dear Nancy and Shannon,
We are so very sorry for your loss. Years ago, I happened to sit next to Bob in the back of the theater during a Clara's Dream production, and he left such a wonderful impression on me. He was warm, witty and not short on words! Please know we are praying for you all during this sad time. God bless you--

Dear Nancy: My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very hard time. Although it has been a very long time since I've seen you or Bobby, my thoughts go to all the memories of high school and the "dead bears". You both were so loved by my family, especially Mom. May it give you some comfort to know that Bob and Mom are re-united once again. Love, Diane(DiBattisto) Kennedy

Nancy, Rick, Barb and the entire Durig family,
I'm so sorry about Bob's premature departure from this planet. When I had the opportunity to share time with you all, he was always fun and interesting to spend time with. Philip and I remember how Bob blessed Phil with the opportunity to be the pyrotech person one July 4 several years ago. You are now temporarily separated from one of your treasures. I pray that memories of good times shared will bring you comfort as you adjust to his passing.

I have known Bob and the Durigs ever since I've known my husband. They were introduced to me as family and that is definitely the case. From this, I have learned, that the saying "your can't pick your family" is certainly untrue.
The first moment I met Bob, Nancy and clan, I felt like I had known them each my whole life. They have a knack for making you feel so comfortable and welcome. I cannot believe our beloved "softie/teddy bear" is gone. Oh, how we will miss Bob.
To Nancy, Dan, Kerry, Shannon, Michael and family, my heart goes out to you at this most difficult time. I find some peace knowing that some day soon your wonderful memories will help sustain you and bring comfort.
I love you, Molly

This message is to you. Thanks for the multiple rides on your motorcycle before they outlawed that type of behavior, thanks for making me a star pupil with my grade school teachers as I always had pies to give away, thanks for the summer jobs at Tippin's (it was always fun being associated with the big guy), thanks for letting me drive your mercedes at age 14 (before you let Nancy drive it), thanks for taking on the name Bob Bob, and most of all, thanks for being such a big part of our family. You will be sincerely missed! Love you, John
