Not sure what to say?

So sorry for your loss. Your father was a great coach, and even a greater man. May peace be with you during this trying time.

On behalf of the LNE Class of 1969, we want to express our sincere sympathies to the family of Mr. Els. He was a mentor, coach, teacher to so many of us. Many fond memories of Mr. Els. He will be missed.

Coach Els will always be a permanent presence in my thoughts and memories. He was a wonderful mentor, coach and human being. My condolences to the immediate family, especially to Ross and Jane.

Coach Els's teaching skills was the reason that I passed geometry. His coaching skills and encouragement made me a better football player. My father Bill Sr attended Northeast with Bob and always spoke highly of him. Bill Jarvis.

For almost every Sunday in the 70's I played golf with Bob or was his partner. There are certain sports comrades that last a lifetime and ours was one of them. I got to know Bob and his wife when he was football coach at Northeast High School. I always enjoyed his interviews for their honesty. Bob played in several golf outings with me and my relatives--and they got to like to because what you saw was what you got. Bob I will miss you and the great sports memories we shared. Jim Miller

Ross, I am hopeful your memories of you great times with your dad provide you some comfort.

Jerri I heard about Bob´s passing from another relative. It left me with a feeling of sadness that we didn´t keep in touch through the years. Condolences to you and your family
