Coach Els's teaching skills was the reason that I passed geometry. His coaching skills and encouragement made me a better football player. My father Bill Sr attended Northeast with Bob and always spoke highly of him. Bill Jarvis.

For almost every Sunday in the 70's I played golf with Bob or was his partner. There are certain sports comrades that last a lifetime and ours was one of them. I got to know Bob and his wife when he was football coach at Northeast High School. I always enjoyed his interviews for their honesty. Bob played in several golf outings with me and my relatives--and they got to like to because what you saw was what you got. Bob I will miss you and the great sports memories we shared. Jim Miller
