Judith "Judy" Rae Weidner (nee. Chrisinger), born Wednesday, April 30, 1947, in
Kalispell, Montana to Raymond Guy and Brenda Irene "Patty" (nee. Patterson) Chrisinger, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
Judy was raised in Kalispell, where she graduated from Flathead Valley High School in 1965. She continued her education at Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri, later attending Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska, and ultimately earning her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa. After completing her studies, Judy returned to Lincoln, where she worked as a waitress at Johnson's Cafe. It was there, in an ordinary moment that would become extraordinary, that she met the love of her life, Donald Weidner. They were married on December 1, 1972, in Lincoln, Nebraska, beginning a lifelong partnership, rooted in love, faith, and devotion. Following brief residencies in Lincoln, Nebraska and Muenster, Texas, they made their home in Shirley Basin, Wyoming, in 1975. There, Judy embraced her most treasured role–being a mother. She and Don were blessed with three sons: Fritz, Kris, and Joel. Judy poured her heart into raising her boys, creating a home filled with warmth, faith, and unconditional love. In 1992, the family moved to
Glenrock, Wyoming, where Judy continued to live out her calling as a devoted mother and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, supporting her family, making frequent trips to Casper, browsing thrift stores, working on puzzles, and spending quiet time reading.
In 2008, she began working in the cafeteria at Casper College (Sodexo), a position she embraced until she passed. As at home, the cafeteria became a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness.
After Don's passing in 2015, her coworkers and the students at the college became her family.
Judy's faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life. She loved the Lord deeply and lived out that faith in both word and action.
She was an active member of her church faithfully serving as a choir pianist and participating in Women's Fellowship. Her life reflected a quiet strength, a servant's heart, and a steadfast trust and faith in God.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald; and her parents, Raymond and Brenda Chrisinger.
Judy is lovingly remembered by her three sons: Fritz (Sarah) Weidner of Coleman, Wisconsin; Kris (Britta) Weidner of Green River, Wyoming; and Joel Weidner of Coleman, Wisconsin. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Hannah, Naomi (Ben), Elizabeth, and Abigail, and a cherished great-grandmother to Elleah. Her legacy lives on in each of them through the love, faith, and values she so faithfully instilled.
Though her family grieves her passing, they find peace and comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior, whom she loved so dearly. Her life was a testament to God's grace and provision, and her memory will continue to be a blessing to all who knew her.
"Well done, good and faithful servant…Enter into the joy of your Lord." – Matthew 25:23
