Not sure what to say?

I only recently learned that Bob Given had passed away on August 31st, 2010. Like others at the Ashland , Oregon Police Department, I was privileged to know him when I was an Officer there. He was a great person to work with and he told us stories of his days as a Major in the military. It is with sadness that we must pay our respects and bid farewell [for now] to those who have crossed our paths through life. I will remember him always. I hope to see you again Bob in the spiritual life to...

I can't believe I am just now hearing about Bob's passing. I have so many happy memories of Bob. He used to come into our store in the 80s as part of his patrol, and he would make us laugh with some outrageous story or joke. He became a friend and over the years we had some great times and giggles. I know he was an awesome fighter, and was supposed to have gone a long time ago...but God had other ideas...in spite of his love of good food..AND bacon. Keep 'em in line up there Bob!!

Dear Barb and Family,
We are very saddened to learn of Bob's passing. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

It was a pleasure to have worked with Bob at Ashland PD for many years. I thought of him not only as a coworker but also a friend and was delighted to have been able to reconnect with Bob about a year ago. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Rest in Peace "Big Bob".

Barb and children, I have great memories of working with Sgt Bob and I am so sorry for your loss. Next time you look at the stars, know that those are God's porch lights welcoming him home.

Bob was a true American Hero, serving our Country with pride and courage. I was proud to know him. I enjoyed working with him at APD. He always had a smile and a joke. RIP buddy. My sympathy and prayers for Barb and the family.
