I only recently learned that Bob Given had passed away on August 31st, 2010. Like others at the Ashland , Oregon Police Department, I was privileged to know him when I was an Officer there. He was a great person to work with and he told us stories of his days as a Major in the military. It is with sadness that we must pay our respects and bid farewell [for now] to those who have crossed our paths through life. I will remember him always. I hope to see you again Bob in the spiritual life to come. Pastor Michel (Mike) Benjamins, Jr. [Ex-APD Officer]. 5-24-17 @ 5:20 P.M. (I would appreciate seeing this comment posted with the other comments for Bob, as I knew some of them as well. Thank you so much. Take care, Best Wishes, and, for believers I bid you GOD Bless and keep you always).

I can't believe I am just now hearing about Bob's passing. I have so many happy memories of Bob. He used to come into our store in the 80s as part of his patrol, and he would make us laugh with some outrageous story or joke. He became a friend and over the years we had some great times and giggles. I know he was an awesome fighter, and was supposed to have gone a long time ago...but God had other ideas...in spite of his love of good food..AND bacon. Keep 'em in line up there Bob!!
And..Barb and family...my thoughts and prayers are with you.
