Not sure what to say?

My most vivid memory is of Bob playing Keith Whitley songs on May 9, 1989, when it was learned that Keith had passed away. I was driving a truck for Yellow Freight System and when Keith's songs began playing, one after the other, I just knew. The shock of a 34-year-old youngster dying was so great that even tears wouldn't flow, but my memory of Keith's voice on the Indianapolis radio station remains strong and clear even after almost 36 years. God bless Bob and his family, friends and legions...

Easiest way to say it. He was a part of my childhood.

I grew up watching Cowboy Bob on Channel 4 when I was a little kid in the 70's and 80's. I meet him once when he visited my hometown of Covington indiana in around 89-90. He was such a gentleman. At the time I was 19 years old. Now at 53,I still consider him an important part of my childhood. He was and still is my childhood hero.

Such sad news, Cowboy Bob was a real friend to Morgan County Humane Society, and as the fundraising chairman he was always willing to help if called upon to MC an event. He will be sadly missed. He so loved the lost andneglected dogs of the world. Julie Partridge

Gail,
So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a fine man and a wonderful friend. I'll never forget the joy he brought just by being nearby. My prayers are with you.

Cowboy Bob...I will never forget you! I had the pleasure of meeting you 38 years ago at my kindergarten graduation from Dena's Daycare Center. You were our very special guest! I remember when you handed me my diploma, you smiled and gave me a big hug, as you did with all of the students graduating. Thank you for always greeting me in the morning on WTTV-4 and for being a part of such a special day in my life (Kindergarten graduation). Rest in Heaven!

I watched Cowboy Bob when I was little. He will be missed. Prayers for his family.

Gail, so very sorry for your loss. Remembering you in prayers. Melinda Merrell

Sad to hear about Bob. Our condolences to Gail. Being a neighbor, we often saw Bob and Gail walking their dogs. We also walked our white husky and Bob would sometimes stop and speak to us as he drove by. Always friendly and loved his dogs. Our boys watched his show growing up. May he Rest in Peace.
