Not sure what to say?

Dear Pat and Family:

I worked with Fred during the Fifties and Sixteys as a State Trooper in Statesville. Fred, Myself, Lynn Nesbit, Bud Amburn and many others had some very good times during those years.I have followed Fred's career as a Lawyer, Solisator, Recorders Court Judge and onto the court of apeals. Fred Swore me in as a First Sergeant with the State Highway Patrol in 1975.He was a Dear Freind to me ,my wife and daughter. He and my daughter had frequent contact when she...

Although we did not personally know Judge Hedrick, we have been touched by his contribution for a better world - his son John Hedrick. When we read the life story of Judge Hedrick, we thought of the strength and commitment it took by himself, his parents, and others, to achieve his accomplishments, against the odds. We are fortunate to benefit indirectly from the teaching and values that he has passed on. Our hope is that his story will be captured in film to reach others globally. It is...

Pat and family, I will always cherish the time I spent with Judge Hedrick as his legal assistant during 1958-1961. He was truly a remarkable person and I learned more than a life time's worth of legal knowledge. His dog Piper (I believe during that time) was always a companion to me as well as him. As a young Scotts High Graduate he chose me to work for him and I am forever grateful that he helped set my life on the right track. Additionally, as I married in 1966 he sang at our wedding. ...

To Mrs. Pat Hedrick and other members of the Hedrick Family:
My wife (Shirley) and our older son, Judge Henry Frye, Jr. join in expressing condolences upon the death of Judge Hedrick. Each of us has fond memories of the Judge. I also remember that he was a great person to talk to about running for office, who would win, and why! Mrs. Hedrick, if Shirley will put up with me until August 25th, we will also have been married for 53 years! May the pleasant memories of the times spent in...

I will never forget the wonderful memories created during the four years I worked for Judge Hedrick as his Legal Assistant. He was like a father to me; a father away from home. From the moment I picked him up in the morning to the moment I dropped him off at his house in the afternoon, I enjoyed every moment laughing at his wonderful sense of humor, learning everything from bits of law to "I know exactly what's wrong with your car Laura Lee", as well as singing along with him. Judge...

Jeff and Family, You are in my thoughts and prayers. Take comfort in " In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." Cinder Kent, Columbia SC

Jeff, I am sorry for your loss. Your dad was an extrodinary man. The Statesville legal community was very proud of him. We send our condolences. Sincerely, David Benbow
