What an iconic man Mr. Heitman is in my mind. From the first days I was fortunate enough to meet then get to know him, Mrs. Heitman, Paula, and David (since 1979? 80? 81?), he has always been stuck in my mind as a role model of sorts. Such a great personality, attitude, commitment to his wife, kids, community are a just a few examples. His pride for all of kids (some of which I hadn't met) has always been so loud and clear. His warm, baritone greetings and deep interest in people made him...

To the family, you have my sincere condolences. When someone falls asleep in death (Ecclesiastes 9: 5,10) the memories we have of them become our most precious treasure. May those memories comfort you as well as Gods promise at John 6:40.
