Not sure what to say?

Mr. Hemp was indeed a fine role model for me. He always had a smile on his face when he greeted me and my family at King of Kings. As I grew older he taught me the art of ushering people in and out of church. He also taught me the art of caring for people regardless if you knew their name or not. My prayers go out to his family.

I'm sorry to have missed your services but I learned of your passing too late. Farewell and Godspeed, my friend and blessings to your family. I'll always remember you and your mastery of aircraft maintenance, and willingness to share your knowledge and keep everyone on an even keel from airmen to generals.

I worked with Bob when we were both at HQ ATC from 1989 till 1993. He was a good friend and an wonderful person. He will be missed

T-46A Next Generation Trainer [NGT]

During the T-46A Next Generation Trainer [NGT] 'exercise' in acquiring a Tweet replacement, Chief Bob was a key Mx advisor. I recall one of our many trips to Fairchild-Republic on Long Island, NY ...I threw my back out of place [incapacitated]. While driving to our TDY quarters at the Freeport Motor Inn & Boatel [remember "Joey" Buttafuoco?] the CHECK ENGINE master caution light came ON. I went straight to bed ...Bob Hemp took off on a hike to find a filling station ...1½ miles back...

I worked withy Bob at HQ. AEATC, Randolph AFB, when we were both assigned as Chief Master Sergents. After both of our retirements we continued to be colleges as Civilian employes of the USAF. I alwas found bot to be a careing person.
