Not sure what to say?

May your many fond memories and your faith in God's promises for the future be a source of strength and peace to your family at this time. (Isaiah 35:5, 6)

My sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. May you find comfort knowing that those who die, God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. - Psalm 116:15

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Judge Hilder was a good, honorable man. I enjoyed working with him in our efforts to reform the Criminal Justice system in Salt Lake County. His efforts made a difference in the lives of many. I will miss his humility and humor.

My condolences to his family.

I'm very sorry for the loss of your loved one, Robert. May you find comfort in prayer, in family and friends (Romans 12:12 and 15).

I respected Judge Hilder as much as I have ever respected anyone. When he came to the bench he was the voice of reason in the rapidly changing demographic of Summit County. I really didn't have any affiliation at the time, I was a person advocating for the Hispanic community. He got all of that, he had the time to listen, he took my thoughts seriously. I am not Hispanic, I am not a cop, or a priest...he got every reason I was passionate. He will be so deeply missed. Blessings

I had the pleasure of getting to know Robert as a judge and then as a mediator and arbitrator. He always seemed interested in not only what I had to say about my cases, but in my life and how I had gotten to where I was in life. He made me feel like we were kindred spirits. I suspect that Robert made nearly everyone feel this way. I will miss him.

It was an honor to work with and be a friend of Robert Hilder during my time at CJP in the 1980s. His calm demeanor and sweet spirit was like none other. Bart and I were honored to have him preside at our marriage ceremony on April 3, 1999 at my daughter's house. My sweet husband also passed away in mid-April. May you rest in peace Robert. My condolences to all your family.

I did not know Judge Hilder well, but our paths crossed several times. Each time he impressed me more - with his willingness to listen; his commitment to understanding an issue before making a decision; his generosity; and, his humanity. Judge Hilder was a judge for all the right reasons. He wanted the work, not the title. He did his work well. I am very saddened by his passing and sorry for our loss. But he did it right and he did it well and for that we can all be grateful.
